Meet Robin, HGregoire Hyundai’s star employee

Robin has been assistant director of sales at HGregoire Hyundai Vaudreuil for 8 years now. Always committed to offering more to its customers, Robin is very involved in his work and in his community. Therefore, we met him to learn more about his motivation!

Why did you want to work in the auto industry?

A counsellor suggested that I make a DEP in consultative sales and commercial representation. When I had to do an internship, I knocked on Hyundai Vaudreuil’s door. Why Hyundai? Because my parents have driven this make for years and I have confidence in the brand!

What part of your work are you passionate about?

My client’s satisfaction. When you come here, it’s like coming to my home!
I like to make sure everything is done right and that the experience is as enjoyable for my clients as when they indulge in their favourite restaurant.
I love the little details. I have the chance here to take care of several things related to the store’s image.

How are you involved your community, personally and with your work?

Personally, it’s have been doing the Défi Pierre Lavoie for two years. I also attended several fundraisers in the region, as the Foundation a Christmas for All, which helps underprivileged children in the region.

With work, we gave several thousands of dollars to disadvantaged schools in Vaudreuil-Soulanges. We also have a team that does the spring cleaning of the Hospice House of Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

Last year, you managed to lose 70 pounds. How did you get motivated to achieve your goal?

I had a flash one day. Measuring 5’6  », but weighing 225 pounds, I was not fit and it bothered me. I was determined to change. Overnight, I put myself in training, did boot-camps, had a much stricter diet, got coached at the gym, and biked like never before! I managed my weight loss from January 2015 to August 2015. This is proof that anything is possible when are determined to do it!

What parallels do you do in between your work at HGregoire and your personal life?

HGregoire is all new for me, since it’s a recent acquisition. I am a go-getter that wants to move forward and it takes a group like HGregoire to propel us towards a promising future, especially with the construction of the new concession, which I greatly look forward to!

Since when do you work in the automotive field?

I have worked at HGregoire Hyundai Vaudreuil since my internship in November 2007.

What was your first car?

My first car was a coupe Pontiac Grand Am V6, but I first drove a Honda scooter in my teenage years.
